(7) Tooth print:  these are tooth marks on the edge of the tongue.  Tooth prints on the tongue mainly indicates deficiency in the spleen, which is unable to perform its function of moving dampness and fluid, and the stagnation in turn causing the tongue body to swell and press against the teeth, resulting the tooth marks.  Hence, tooth prints and fat tongue usually appears together.  They either mean deficiency of the spleen or heavy dampness.
